Essential Race Care
- Mud & Grit: CX bikes require more frequent drivetrain servicing. Check chain wear regularly; expected chain life is ~4000 km.
- Brake Bed-in: Before racing, perform 20 gradual stops at 20 km/h, then repeat at 30 km/h to ensure maximum braking power.
- Tubeless Setup: Very strongly recommended for CX racing to allow lower pressures and prevent pinch flats. Sealant required.
- Gravel Use: While capable, the RCX II is a race-specific machine without rack or mudguard eyelets.
*Note: Pedals are not included. The frame is UCI approved for competition. Connectivity available via SRAM CONNECT app for firmware updates and shifting personalization.
