The Fastest Race Wheels, Period. The Roval Rapide CLX III is a high-performance road racing wheelset designed to deliver speed, acceleration, and precise control across a wide range of courses. Its aerodynamic design takes a different approach by combining a deeper front rim with a shallower rear rim, optimizing each wheel for its specific role.
The 51mm front rim is designed to maximize aerodynamic performance where it matters most, while the lighter 48mm rear rim and carbon spokes reduce weight by 215g compared with the previous generation. With a complete wheelset weight of just 1,305 grams, the Rapide CLX III is built to provide quick acceleration and responsive handling without giving up aerodynamic efficiency.

Lightweight Carbon Spokes
Roval Aero Composite Spokes by ARRIS help reduce the overall wheelset weight by 215g, bringing the complete Rapide CLX III wheelset to 1,305 grams. The lightweight carbon spoke system contributes to quick acceleration and responsive handling while supporting the wheelset's aerodynamic performance.
The Speed of Control
The 51mm front rim is designed to capture the majority of the aerodynamic gains at the front of the bike, while the lightweight 48mm rear rim helps deliver fast acceleration. Together, the two rim profiles create a balanced combination of aerodynamic speed and responsive control.
FlatStop Bead Hooks
The Rapide CLX III features FlatStop bead hooks designed to improve resistance to flats. The bead hooks are designed to disperse impact forces and require 39% more force to cause a flat, providing additional protection when riding aggressively at high speeds.
