The Fastest Way to the Top. The Roval Alpinist CLX III is a lightweight road wheelset engineered for riders who prioritize fast climbing, responsive acceleration, and low weight. At just 1,131g with valves and tape, it is Roval's lightest road wheelset yet, shedding 134g compared with the previous generation.
A new lightweight hub combined with Roval Aero Composite Spokes by ARRIS accounts for 103.5g of system weight savings. The composite spokes are also designed to be 20% stronger than steel, helping deliver a lightweight construction without compromising the performance characteristics required for demanding road riding and racing.

A New Era of Lightweight Performance
The Alpinist CLX III introduces Roval Aero Composite Spokes by ARRIS to the Alpinist platform. Combined with a new lightweight hub, the spoke and hub system contributes to a total weight reduction of 103.5g, helping bring the complete wheelset down to just 1,131g.
The composite spokes are engineered to be 20% stronger than steel while providing the lightweight characteristics needed for fast climbing and responsive road performance.
Built for Fast Climbs
Low weight is at the heart of the Alpinist CLX III. At 1,131g including valves and tape, the wheelset is designed to reduce rotational and overall system weight, making it particularly suited to riders who enjoy fast climbs and competitive road racing.
The performance of the wheelset has also been demonstrated in climbing conditions, with Demi recording a five-second improvement on the Tourmalet compared with the previous generation using the Alpinist CLX III.
